As most of you know, traveling and adventure has become somewhat of a staple for us, so we thought "why should our wedding be any different?". This will be Margot's fifth trip to Szentgerice, while it will be Alex's second time there. Margot began going to the village as part of a youth group through her church, the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fairfax.

When it came time to choose a destination for our wedding, we toyed with a few ideas before we had the notion of getting married in Szentgerice. Romania is a land of rich history, amazing architechture, and sheer beauty, and we thought this would be the perfect backdrop for our special day. At first, it seemed like a bit of a stretch, but after talking to a few people and working out some logistics, our dream quickly started to become a reality.

In making this decision, it was never our intention to exclude family and friends, but to create a wedding experience that would be as truly exciting and unique as our relationship. For those of you joining us in Szentgerice, we look forward to seeing you there, and for those who cannot make the trip, we hope to see you at the reception in Leesburg.
