Services The main service we supply to customers is web design. This can be creating a new site for your organization or updating an old site. After we learn what look you would like for your site, we'll create a few mock-ups for you to choose from. You provide us with the text and images you want for your site, and we'll create the site. We will also locate images for you as needed. Feel free to look over our portfolio of past work. We are available for maintaining your site after it is created as well. For a monthly fee, we will make any changes needed to your site, as long as the changes are under 35 hours per month. TheMaeLane also offers graphical and print work. A solid organization has a their brand on everything a client sees. Repetition of brand creates winning companies. Clients generally take a few times of seeing your logo to connect it with you. We'll create your logo, business cards, and letterheads as a package deal. Fair Pricing Most clients either over- or under-estimate the time needed for their product. This is why I gather the basic data on the client's project before quoting a single price. I can itemize out what needs to be done on their site, and estimate the time it will take. Knowing what a client wants on their site will at times cut a perspective price in half. There are two common ways to quote a price - by project or by the hour. Some clients like to know their final price up front. I can do this, and barring any *major* changes, their price will be set. This is not always the most fair way to price a project. For example, if a little more work need to be done than estimated, I am down those hours, which benefits the client. However, the rope swings both ways; if I over-estimated the project, the client is being billed more than their project is worth. Thus, I generally choose to charge an hourly rate. After getting the general information on a project, I give the client an estimate. This way, a client can expand their project idea or cut from their original project if they desire. In the end, I bill the client for the actual hours worked, and thus all parties are happy. I generally ask the client for a 30% deposit, and begin work on their project. |
